Monterey Park Facility
To support its leading position in silicon photonics, KOTURA maintains a 22,000 ft² facility dedicated to the manufacturing, design, fabrication, packaging and testing of silicon photonic devices and modules. KOTURA's in-house 4,200 ft² CMOS compatible Class 10 & 100 6 inch wafer fab is capable of processing wafers as per the customer demand. With in-house fab facility, KOTURA drives home the advantage of having very short cycle times for device design/ development, process development, DOEs and initial testing activities. The fab is used for both R&D and initial production runs, ensuring stable process transfer from R&D to production. The fab is immaculately maintained and is also used for small volume manufacturing like, multi-channel variable optical attenuators (VOAs) chips, offered as a commercial product by KOTURA. In addition, KOTURA offers silicon foundry services for development and production of silicon photonics and MEMS devices for industrial and medical sensors, aerospace, and communication applications. The fab is staffed by an experienced process design team capable of responding quickly to new process requirements.
To support our customers, KOTURA maintains a 5,500 ft² of Class 10K Packaging Lab for proof of concept, engineering prototypes and small production runs. KOTURA is also fully equipped with Telcordia Qualification equipment. KOTURA is working towards ISO 9001:2000 certification and maintains full product traceability, quality assurance, inventory control, and supply chain management as per industry standards.
Overseas Assembly Manufacturing
To meet our customer's volume demands and pricing targets, KOTURA uses Broadex as their contract packaging manufacturer. Located in Shanghai China, Broadex is equipped with state of the art manufacturing facilities and fully qualified to ISO 9001:2000 Standards. For more information please feel free to contact us.
