Kotura Becomes the First Silicon Photonics Company to
Announce ISO 9001:2000 Certification
Industry leader in silicon photonics ready for rapid growth
Monterey Park, Calif., April 23, 2008 - Kotura Inc., a leading provider of silicon photonic components, is proud to become the first silicon photonics manufacturer to announce ISO 9001:2000 certification. The award follows an independent audit of Kotura’s operations, management and quality systems performed by TUV USA Inc., member of the TUV Nord Group.
“This certification highlights our passion for continuous improvement,” commented Wayne White, Kotura’s Vice President of Operations. “We were delighted that our very first TUV USA audit resulted in zero major and zero minor non conformances. This rarely happens and speaks to the quality of the management systems we had in place.”
“As Kotura expands our global customer base, this certification reinforces our commitment to customer satisfaction as well as our dedication to being a world class supplier of silicon photonics products,” added Jean-Louis Malinge, CEO of Kotura.
“We welcome Andrew’s experience and leadership to our Board,” added Jean-Louis Malinge, President and CEO of Kotura. “With this new round of financing and Andrew’s appointment as Chairman, Kotura is well positioned to exploit the new business opportunities in silicon photonics.”
