RoHS Strategy
The European Union’s RoHS (Restriction of Hazardous Substances) Directive 2002/95/EC controls the use of lead, mercury, cadmium, hexavalent chromium, polybrominated bephenyls (PBB) and polybrominated diphenyl ethers (PBDE) in new electrical and electronic equipment. Other countries around the world have enacted their own restrictions regarding the use of certain hazardous substances.
